For the serious role-playing group down to the new guy, the card game Munchkin is a fast paced, silly dungeon-crawl where you kill the monsters, grab the loot and possibly back stab your buddy to get his.
Made to reduce the most hard core gamer into fits of hysteria, Munchkin is simple and easy to learn, with even the newest players learning the ropes of the game before it is finished. The phrase “The More, The Merrier” definitely applies to this game, but with just two players, it is still a lot of fun.
There are several versions of Munchkin, ranging in genres from intergalactic battles in Star Munchkin to the Wild West in The Good, The Bad and the Munchkin. Several of the core sets have supplements to add to them, bringing more monsters, treasure and mayhem to the mix.
The most intriguing thing about the Munchkin games is that you can mix any of them together to create more silly fun. And no combination is too weird, it just means that you can do more to the monsters, and your buddies.
